Naftogaz: Trilateral gas talks in June not confirmed yet
KIEV, May 20 (PRIME) -- Trilateral talks between Moscow, Kiev, and Brussels over gas transit through Ukraine after 2019 in June have not been confirmed yet, Naftogaz Ukrainy Executive Director Yury Vitrenko said on his Facebook page on Monday.
“Taking into account that the Russian side refused to hold trilateral talks in May, after the election of the new Ukrainian president, and talks for June have not been agreed as well, it becomes obvious that they are intentionally lingering this process. And speculations about an impact of presidential or parliamentary elections are just excuses here,” he said.
The current transit contract between Russia and Ukraine expires at the end of 2019, and the second round of trilateral talks fell through in January.
